I’m all about mixing up fabric, paint, and digital design to tell stories that matter to me. As an art quilter, I stitch together pieces that explore themes like feminism, personal struggles, and perseverance. History and travel inspire me—each new place I visit, each tale from the past, sparks a new creation.  Flowers often appear in my art as symbols of resilience, growth and maturity.

My mixed media art journals are like visual diaries, where I test my ideas, practice with various mediums and play.  My journals allow me to foster creativity by allowing me to experiment with no concern for a particular outcome.  The work I do in my art journals often inspires my art quilts.

Recently I have been experimenting with digital art illustration and surface pattern design.  This new practice has rekindled my pleasure in drawing and has inspired me to branch out and play with new themes and possibilities in thrilling new ways.  I hope to discover ways in which I can integrate my textile and traditional art practices with my new digital practice.
